Pitt women's basketball team was ranked No. 22 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches preseason poll which was released today. Pitt is one of five Big East teams ranked.

Connecticut is No. 1, Notre Dame is No. 7, Louisville is No. 19 and DePaul is No. 25th.
