Robbery victim picks suspect out of old yearbook
Wednesday, November 04, 2009

ERIE, Pa. -- Police in Erie say a robbery victim identified a suspect after recognizing him from a picture in an old school yearbook.

Erie police say they arrested 30-year-old Anthony Williams on Monday on charges of robbery, terroristic threats and simple assault.

Police say Mr. Williams was one of two men who accosted the victim outside a convenience store on Oct. 17, taking the victim's jacket, cell phone, keys and $300.

Police say the victim recognized Mr. Williams because they went to school at Central Career and Technical School in the mid-1990s. After identifying Mr. Williams in old yearbooks the victim took to the police station, he identified a newer photo of Mr. Williams from a photo lineup.
