Plan offered to preserve Lawrenceville brewery buildings
Tuesday, November 03, 2009

Lawrenceville preservationists today delivered a proposal to the city to save property within the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. complex from demolition.

Architect Keith Cochran and historian Carol Peterson met with officials from the company to discuss their plan. Mr. Cochran said the brewing officials were amenable to it.

They had sought to demolish buildings that were no longer of use to them. The company will maintain its corporate headquarters and a warehouse on the property, although it moved processing and bottling operations to Latrobe in July.
