The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership yesterday announced that the annual Light Up Night to kick off the Christmas shopping season will take place Nov. 20.

Events start at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, with a performance by CLO Mini Stars at PPG Place Plaza and conclude with a 9:15 fireworks display sponsored by Macy's.

The night will include a parade of marching bands, unveiling of Macy's windows and various musical performances.

The annual Celebrate the Season Parade will be at 9 a.m. on Nov. 28.
