A successful Fall Fun Day
Thursday, October 29, 2009

Connie Brundrett, of Monroeville, above, a Boy Scouts of America volunteer, helps Christopher Parada, 14, a Mon Valley School student from McKees Rocks, take aim with a BB gun at Camp Guyasuta for the first Fall Fun Day for scouts with disabilities and special needs.

It seems the Greater Pittsburgh Council of the Boy Scouts of America couldn't have come up with a more appropriate name.

Scouts with disabilities and special needs participated in Fall Fun Day last Thursday at the camp in Indiana Township. Activities included a climbing wall, BB shooting, a nature walk and a craft.

The event was organized by the council's TrailBlazer District, which was formed in June to serve special needs Scouts.
