Man killed in Indiana County crash

A 30-year-old Homer City man was killed yesterday when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving on State Route 259 in Brush Valley, Indiana County.

State police said the victim, who was not identified, was driving southbound shortly after noon when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a parked van. The victim, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, Sheryl Reeder, 26, of Robinson, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Conemaugh Hospital. A 3-year-old boy in the vehicle was not hurt, police said.
