Q: Can you explain to me why the Big Ten is no longer able to have night games in the month of November? I remember reading that somewhere, but I can't remember the exact details. I think that really takes away from the excitement of the Ohio State vs. Penn State game.

Nathan Perk, Nashville, Tenn.

MUSSELMAN: Nathan, I agree, it would be a nice showcase for the Big Ten if the Penn State-Ohio State game Nov. 7 would be an 8 p.m. kickoff, as it was last October in Columbus, Ohio. But this year's game instead will start at 3:30 p.m. at Beaver Stadium and there's a reason for it. While the Big Ten doesn't have a policy regarding night games in November, the conference's TV contracts contain a provision that does not allow night games to be scheduled after October.
