The documentary, from director Abby Epstein and executive producer Ricki Lake, examines the way American women give birth. Actress Lake, for instance, gave birth to her second child with the assistance of a midwife in her home bathtub.

After the movie, there will be a reception catered by La Creme Artful Catering, wine and conversation, Tickets, $25, can be purchased at the door.
