Oakdale applies for $40,000 grant
Thursday, July 02, 2009

Oakdale council agreed last night to apply for a grant to help build a small park at the site of the former Boock's Bar, which was destroyed in a 2006 fire.

Councilman Paul Hennemuth said the borough hoped to receive a $40,000 beautification grant from the Allegheny County Department of Economic Development toward the purchase of the vacant lot, 5031 State Street, and creation of a parklet there.
