Three people were killed in a head-on crash just before 11 last night on Route 208 in Clarion County.

State police said Dennis Bussell, 47, of Clarion, was driving a 2001 Hyundai Sonata westbound on the highway in Beaver Township. His car swerved into the eastbound lane and struck a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Ester Matthews, 73, of Knox, Clarion County.

Mr. Bussell and Ms. Matthews died in the crash. Also killed was a 13-year-old girl in the Matthews vehicle. A 1-year-old boy who was secured in a child safety seat sustained moderate injuries and was flown to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

None of the adults were wearing seatbelts.
