An Indiana County boy died after he was hit by two vehicles on a highway in Rayne Township.

State police said Richard Scalise, 13, ran from the berm onto the westbound lane of Route 286 around 3:20 p.m. yesterday. He was hit by a Jeep and knocked into the eastbound lane, where he was run over by a car.
