Q: Ed, if Ben keeps playing his style and developing his talents, will he get into the Hall of Fame, even if his stats are such that he gets beaten out of the Pro Bowl most every year by Brady, Manning and assorted two-year wonders with no rings? He may never come close to his 2007 stats again, yet have a handful of rings.

BOUCHETTE: I receive more questions about whether active players will make the HOF than ever. It seems many fans and those in the media want to know if a current player will make it, peaking with Kurt Warner this year. I've heard some say Warner is now a "lock" after Sunday's Super Bowl because of his performance. But didn't his performance also include throwing a 100-yard touchdown the wrong way? Ben has a nice jump on making his mark in the NFL. Whether that leads to the HOF or not is way too early to tell. I will say this, his continued clutch performances only enhance his candidacy and winning Super Bowls and/or NFL championships never hurt a QB. See Bob Griese and Bart Starr.
