Cafeteria workers and custodians in the Pittsburgh Public Schools voted unanimously to ratify a new contract yesterday morning.
The employees, members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 297, voted 212-0 in support of the contract, said Richard Caponi, AFSCME District Council 84 director.
The school board is scheduled to vote Tuesday evening on the contract, which was approved unanimously Friday night by clerical workers in the same union.
