Avoid the Parkway East outbound today.

Continuing rehabilitation work on the highway has traffic nearly at a standstill from Grant Street, Downtown, through the Squirrel Hill Tunnels and beyond.

Crews are working between the Bates Street and Monroeville interchanges, where traffic has been reduced to one lane.

Traffic this morning was stop-and-go -- but mostly stop -- at many points along the highway.
