A 15-year-old North Side boy today was ordered to stand trial in a fatal shooting at a Mount Washington bar.

Gary Milligan is accused of shooting Brandon Alton, 23, on June 19 at Sonny's Place on Shiloh Street.

At a preliminary hearing today, city homicide Detective James McGee testified that police developed information and went to the North Side.

They received consent from Mr. Milligan's family to question him and he told them about the bar altercation.

Det. McGee said Mr. Milligan said he and two others were waiting for chicken they ordered at the bar when Mr. Alton attacked one of Mr. Milligan's companions.

Two more of Mr. Alton's friends joined the fight, as did Mr. Milligan's friends.

Det. McGee said Mr. Milligan stated he pulled a handgun from his pocket and began firing.

District Judge Leonard Hromyak ordered the suspect to stand trial on homicide and other charges.
