A construction worker remains in critical condition today in UPMC Mercy after he was burned and two co-workers were electrocuted yesterday while working on a home in Murrysville.
The two co-workers were killed by the 7,200-volt power line that had come into contact with scaffolding the men had been erecting at a home on Old William Penn Highway at McCoy Avenue.
Borough police today identified the survivor as Scott Basch, 49, of Monroeville.
Mr. Basch had been working at about 9:15 a.m. with James Bolen, 52, of Jeannette, and William McNemar, 50, of Turtle Creek, when the metal pole they were handling touched the power line.
Mr. Basch was being treated in the Birmingham Trauma and Burn Center at Mercy, a hospital spokeswoman said.
