A 21-month-old girl drowned yesterday after she wandered away from a picnic and got into an above-ground pool at a residence in Clearfield Township in Cambria County.

Cheyanne Marie Dively was pronounced dead at Altoona Hospital at 4:37 p.m.

She was found in the pool at 3:20 p.m., and family members tried to revive her until emergency personnel arrived, according to state police in Ebensburg.

The girl lived in Williamsburg, Blair County.
