Indiana County Coroner Michael A. Baker has identified the victim of a head-on collision yesterday on Route 422 in Pine Township.

Mr. Baker said Caleb Jon Strayer, 20, of Washington Avenue in Summerhill Township, drove across the center lane of traffic into the path of a tractor-trailer rig. The accident occurred at 4:06 p.m. two miles west of Strongstown on Nolo Hill.

The truck driver, Todd Hozak of Marion Center, Indiana County, was not seriously injured.

Mr. Baker would not speculate whether alcohol played a role in the crash, but toxicology tests are pending.

He said the area of the accident was blanketed in heavy fog early yesterday.
