CRAFTS

Ohio Township -- The 20th annual Avonworth Band Craft Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at Avonworth High School, 258 Josephs Lane. The show will offer handmade items, food, raffles and a silent auction. For more information, call 412-358-8675.

O'Hara -- Boyd Community Center, 1220 Powers Run Road, will showcase the fine art and craft of local artists from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Friday features an opening reception with music by the Peter King Trio and refreshments. Items include jewelry, glass items, clay pots and more. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Art for Autism, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of arts education and therapies for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders. DANCE

Mars -- A singles dance for adults will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Mars Veterans of Foreign Wars, 331 Mars-Valencia Road. DONATIONS

Cranberry -- The Venture Club of North Pittsburgh, a community service and volunteer organization for working women, will hold its annual Toy Drive for Family Resources tomorrow during Cranberry Township's Light Up Night at the Cranberry Municipal Building, 2525 Rochester Road. New, unwrapped gifts for children ages 0-17 will be collected from 6 to 8 p.m. Gift cards and monetary donations will also be accepted. Contact Mary-Alice Olson at 724-940-1730.

ENTERTAINMENT

McCandless -- North Allegheny Senior High School, 10375 Perry Highway, will present "Rabbit Hole" at 7:30 p.m. today and tomorrow and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school auditorium. Advance tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students. All tickets are $10 at the door. The play is for mature audiences. No one younger than 14 will be admitted without an adult. Zelienople -- Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., will perform the musical "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students. Call 724-452-7560, ext. 17.

FUNDRAISERS

Hampton -- St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road, will hold a super bingo Friday. Admission includes 12 cards for each regular game and five specials. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; bingo begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Proceeds benefit the school. Call Coleen at 412-486-6622.

Millvale -- Holy Spirit School, 100 Howard St., will hold a Night at the Races on Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; post time is 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Must be 21 years old to attend. Contact Mark Braun at 412-321-3608.

Richland -- The Pine-Richland crew team will hold a bingo night Saturday at the Richland Volunteer Fire Hall on Meridian Road. Doors open at 6 p.m.; bingo starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. The event will include bingo specials games for sale, a 50/50 raffle and gift basket raffles.

Slippery Rock -- Gamma Sigma Sigma of Slippery Rock University will host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Dec. 5 in memory of Benjamin Swantner, a 2007 Highlands High School graduate. The tournament is open to the public and will be in the Aebersold Student Recreation Center at the university. The cost is $20 per team with at least one Slippery Rock University student and $25 per team for others. Maximum limit of five players per team and minimum of three players. The deadline to register is Monday. Late registrations will be accepted until Dec. 1 with a $5 late fee. For information and applications, e-mail sah4075@sru.edu.

West View -- Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2754 Ladies Auxiliary, 386 Perry Highway, will hold a bingo Nov. 28. Doors open at 11 a.m., early birds begin at 12:30 p.m. Donations for packets are $20 and $30. Proceeds benefit the post's veterans programs.

HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

Cranberry -- A Christmas Giving Dinner will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 at Freedom Square Diner, 1185 Freedom Road. Proceeds benefit Gleaner's Food Bank to provide holiday meals to its clients.

Shaler -- Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1719 Mount Royal Blvd., will hold its annual wreath-making parties at 1 and 6 p.m. Nov. 29 and at 6 p.m. Nov. 30. Wear old clothes and bring greens, wire cutters, rose clippers, garden gloves and wreath decorations. Supplies, including frames and wire, will be available for purchase. The parties are free. Food donations are requested for the Northern Area Food Pantry. Cookies also may be donated to serve at the wreath party. For more information call Nancy at 412-364-1484.

RETREATS

Millvale -- Tabor House of Prayer, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis, will offer the retreat, "Contemplating Christ; Imitating Christ," from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday. Fee is $55. To register, call 412-821-1149.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Pine -- Students in the Pine-Richland High School American Field Service Club and the Cultural Diversity Club are hosting a movie night Tuesday at the Treesdale Community Center, 1 Treesdale Commons. The clubs will host a dinner of Indian food at 5:30 p.m. The movie "Hum Tum" will be shown at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted to promote intercultural dialogue projects.
